Welcome to the start of my custom Content Management System code. I am writing this site using PHP, PEAR, Smarty and MySQL, later I plan to add some javascript using Prototype and Scriptaculous. This site is currently in active development and there will be many exciting things to come. I am looking forward to trying some fun things in programming and experimenting with ideas I would not normally get to try with client sites. Some people say why try and reinvent the wheel? There are so many great CMS packages you can download and use for your site. The answer is they are right. There are a lot of great CMS programs like Drupal, Mambo, Joomla and Mephisto. But I wanted to try something different and to show off some of my skills as a web programmer. This CMS is currently unnamed and focuses on being simple and providing a basic site that has solid features with minimal configuration for the non web savvy. So soon once I have finished adding comments then you can tell me what you think. Until then watch the skies.
